School Museum 'Großherzogin von Baden'
True to the motto "a visit to school never hurt anyone", the former teacher Bernd Schneider and his wife have set up a "Schulstube anno 1900" with passionate commitment. It is located in the former gardener's house right next to the Badenweiler Kur- und Festspielhaus.
Beschreibung
Our historic classroom from 1900 is a small museum in itself. With great attention to detail and numerous exhibits from the time of the former Grand Duchy of Baden, you can embark on a journey through time. Become a boy or girl in the reign of Grand Duke Friedrich I and his wife Luise, daughter of Kaiser Wilhelm I. On a booked appointment, the strict Herr Schulmeister will show you the everyday life of a schoolboy in the countryside.
Badenweiler was once the summer residence of the Grand Duke of Baden. The melodious title "Schulstube anno 1900" (Schoolroom in 1900) was created by SKH Max Markgraf von Baden.
We cordially invite you to visit the Schulstube. The group size should be at least 12 persons. Individual visitors will find the possibility to join a registered group on the internet under "Your Schedule".
